Victoria Northup
Dr. Day Care East Greenwich
The winner receives a check for $500 and 5 days PTO. Congratulations and thank you for your hard work!

Victoria is the Assistant Administrator at Dr. Day Care East Greenwich. She has been a part of our team since September 2021.
Victoria has had many roles here at Dr. Day Care East Greenwich – starting as a Lead Infant Teacher before being promoted to Assistant Administrator in September 2022. After exploring other opportunities in March 2023, Victoria chose to return to DDC as a Lead Preschool Teacher in June 2024. She was quickly promoted back to Assistant Administrator in August 2024.
Victoria is always leading by example to create a fun, engaging, creative work environment for not only staff, but also the children within her center. Victoria exceeds expectations, is always ahead of deadlines, and genuinely puts her best foot forward into her work each and every day. She is always creating fun events for staff, children within the center, and their families to curate such a wholesome community culture within the DDC East Greenwich center.
What sets Victoria apart is her remarkable ability to uplift team morale, foster strong relationships, and ensure that every person who enters our center feels supported and valued. Her reliability, compassion, and willingness to step in wherever she is needed make her an indispensable member of our team.

Victoria consistently goes above and beyond to make her community a better place, both inside and outside of the center. She understands the importance of giving back and actively models that value for the children, families, and staff around her.
Within the center, Victoria takes every opportunity to engage children in age-appropriate acts of kindness, whether it’s organizing small classroom initiatives like donation drives, community helper activities, or teaching moments that highlight empathy and generosity. She is intentional about showing children the impact they can make, even through simple everyday actions.
Outside of work, Victoria continues to demonstrate her commitment to service. She is always among the first to step up when families in our center need additional help—whether that means gathering resources, connecting them with support services, or simply offering her time and compassion. Her willingness to extend kindness beyond her job description reflects her genuine dedication to strengthening her community.

Numerous co-workers nominated Victoria for employee of the year! Read some of the submissions below:
“Victoria is one of the most dedicated and dependable professionals I have ever had the privilege of working with. She has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership by keeping the center running smoothly on her own when needed, all while maintaining a positive environment for staff, children, and families. Victoria approaches every shift with a genuine smile and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Her work ethic is truly unmatched – she not only completes every task asked of her, but often goes above and beyond without being prompted.”
“Victoria not only partners with her community – she uplifts it. Her consistent acts of service, her passion for helping others, and her ability to inspire those around her to give back make her a true example of community leadership and an outstanding candidate for this recognition.”
“Victoria is a phenomenal leader. I can say myself along with the rest of my team that Victoria is the most fantastic human! Victoria helps with anything and never makes you feel less for anything! She deserves this!!”
“This year, Victoria has been essential to the success of East Greenwich because of her upbeat energy and personality, you would not even have noticed the absence of a director for several months within the East Greenwich site as she runs operations so smoothly and with conscientious care towards all. Victoria, in the busy year that she has had personally and professionally, is undeniably deserving of Team Member of the Year!”

“Victoria is always willing to help! She goes out of her way to figure things out, to help people, to come up with a solution, and anything else that is needed. She’s always willing and eager to learn. Victoria can be counted on to step up – like keeping DDC East Greenwich running smoothly until a new administrator started. Even with extra responsibilities on her plate, she still offered to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities. She is an amazing team player and we are lucky to have her here!”

“Victoria always goes out of her way to make every family happy and enjoy coming to the center. Victoria always does little things like creating special crafts for the families or different events to involve the families.”
“I am nominating Victoria because she has done such an outstanding job not only in her own role as Assistant Administrator, but also in her role as Acting Administrator before the new Admin, Morgan, began. She is a breath of sunshine and positivity and demonstrates that in her work each day at the center, providing support and leadership to the East Greenwich team as well as the families and children. She is organized and stays on task of the day to day responsibilities and I am so happy that she chose to return to Dr. Day Care!”
“Victoria has been dedicated to her position since she was an infant teacher, then office back-up and Assistant Administrator. Although she left the company for a short period of time to work in a director role, she did come back to us and has run the center with ease, while we waited for our new Administrator to begin. She consistently gives her all, switches her days as needed based on the needs of the center and remains extremely flexible. The center runs smoothly when she is there, and she is excellent at prioritizing needs and demands of the job. She welcomes feedback and puts it to task, without defensiveness. She is a pleasure to work with and deserves the employee of the year award. Victoria has brought in many community partners to work with their center as special visitors for their family cookout and to establish an emergency evacuation site. She works well with EI, the school system and any visitors to the site.”

Victoria embodies the qualities we strive for in this organization, and her consistent contributions, positive attitude, and dedication to our mission make her an outstanding candidate for Employee of the Year. She is more than deserving of this recognition.
