Math & Measuring
Observing and measuring growth of plants
If you have already planted some seedlings, now is most likely a perfect time to document their progress and measure their height. You can do this with all kinds of tools (rulers and measuring tapes in both inches and centimeters) or comparing using blocks, small toys, etc. If you haven’t planted seeds, that’s ok: go outside and measure the grass, flowers, or even weeds with your child.

Creative Arts
The arts provide children with ways to express their ideas and feelings. Music, movement, drama, and visual arts stimulate children to use words, manipulate tools and media, and solve problems in ways that simultaneously convey meaning and are aesthetically pleasing.
Participation in the creative arts is an excellent way for young children to learn and use creative skills in other domains
