Updates to parent pick up/drop off

Dear Parents,

As always, thank you for your patience during the past year around the COVID pandemic. Requirements are changing often, and we hope this letter will help update you on the next steps at Dr. Day Care.

As of June 28, 2021, all Dr. Day Care locations will be open from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm.

The date the hours change varies by location, contact your Administrator or view our COVID update page.

Additionally, you will be able to drop off and pick up your child inside the center beginning on this date.

We are excited for you to see your child’s classroom and teachers as we start moving toward pre-COVID procedures! Please note that, per the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) and Department of Human Services (DHS), all adults and school age children must wear a mask while inside a child care facility. Also, social distancing measures should remain. Please also minimize the time spent inside the center. RIDOH recommends spending no more than 15 minutes per day in the center to prevent quarantining and exposure to others. Please help us minimize risk by keeping your time in the center within this timeframe.

For those of you that have never picked up or dropped off inside our facilities before, we have strict security measures to ensure the safety of your child. Adults who are authorized to pick up your child will set up a fingerprint or passcode to unlock the center door and check children in/out of the center.

Your child’s classroom is scheduled to set this up in advance. Please see your Administrator to set this up, before your first day back in the center. Your Administrator sent home a letter with details on when to set this up.

When you use Procare to sign your child in and out you are attesting that you and your child have no symptoms of COVID-19.

Again, thank you and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Sincerely yours,

Amy S. Vogel, COO
