Dr. Day Care Learning Center donated $1,000 to support the Lt. Governor’s Entrepreneurship Challenge! There are now $12K in scholarships available for high school entrepreneurs this year.

 

The Lt. Governor’s Entrepreneurship Challenge is Rhode Island’s first statewide business pitch competition for Rhode Island high school students, grades 9-12, aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and promoting business ownership right here in the Ocean State. Through this program, high school students compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships to post-secondary institutions.

Dr. Day Care Learning Center was founded by Dr. Mary Ann Shallcross Smith (known as “Dr. Day Care” to most).  Each center utilizes the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum and is aligned to the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS).  Their mission is to provide family, youth and child services in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment through a team of dedicated professionals.
