Our PrepareRI interns from Dr. Day Care and Kids Klub met with the BOCA (Business Owners in Childcare) lobbyist, Rick McAuliffe of the Mayforth Group. They learned what a lobbyist’s job is and how it can be related to child care.
They learned what a lobbyist’s typical day looks like and what different kind of opportunities there are in this job. Additionally, they learned about a lobbyist’s role in terms of Congress.
We had three interns from Kids Klub who have been working with middle school students and two interns from Dr. Day Care who are working under the Marketing Director.
